White Marker Handicaps

Under the new WHS there has been an adjustment to how handicaps are calculated.

When a White marker event was played previously the course scratch rating of 71 was only taken into account when the Daily Scratch Rating was calculated after the event had concluded. With the new system that scratch rating of 71 is taken into account within your daily handicap instead of reducing the effective Par of the course for the day.

What was previously the DSR is now shown as PCC. Its starting point is now the actual Par for the course of 72 and is meant to reflect the course conditions for the day by assessing the overall results of the competition

The changes to these calculations mean that the old way of rounding off for your daily handicap is no longer valid. New Look-up Charts will be posted outside the pro shop
