Dear members,
2023 has been an interesting and challenging year in many ways, but the year has also brought some positive change and significant improvements. During the year we restructured the Management team to allow a strong focus on golf operations, financial management, governance and community engagement. The carpark was completed; the 14th green was rebuilt and the capacity of the dams on the 3rd / 4th and 10th hole was increased. Through all of this, we continue to grow financially and prosper.
I would like to thank our tireless volunteers, who have contributed so much to the club over the past year and beyond; our staff who have worked hard to support and serve our members; our very generous sponsors – many of whom provide sponsorship every year – your contribution is invaluable; John and Robbie in the pro-shop – always welcoming; and our members for your continued commitment to this wonderful club.
As we know Golf Clubs are so much more than the game of golf, they bring us together to connect and forge friendships. It’s this sense of belonging that enhances the overall golfing experience and makes it very special.
In the words of Groucho Marx – “I’m not feeling very well – I need a doctor immediately. Ring the nearest golf course.”
