The Club held its 2023 Annual General Meeting on Thursday 1st February. 130 members attended the meeting either in person or by streaming online.
Key Points:
· Minutes of the 2022 AGM and 2023 Special General Meeting were accepted as true and correct.
· Treasurer and Captains reports presented, moved and seconded.
· Nominations for Life Membership. Endorsed by the Management Committee, two nominations were presented to be voted on by the membership. Both Mavis Brimelow and Trevor Kamp were successfully inducted as new Life Members achieving the required >75% vote in favour. Both were congratulated by Wendy Bradley. Mavis Brimelow thanked those in attendance for their approval and those who had worked with her and supported her during her many years of service. Trevor Kamp was unable to attend the meeting on the night. Trevor & Mavis’s names will be added to the Honour Board in due course.
· Ken Sharpe (Treasurer), Andrew Wills (Club Captain) and Allan Warry (Course Development and Maintenance) were all successfully appointed unopposed for their respective positions.
· Greg Wilson was successfully elected over Rod Layt for the position of Director- Major Works & Projects
· President Neil Archer presented the Club’s newly formed 2024-2026 Strategic Plan. Link to Strat Plan
· Neil Archer concluded the meeting by thanking those who attended, as well as all who had contributed throughout the year in varying capacities and wished everyone well for the year ahead.
